

Sarah Wellstead VetMB MA GPCertCardio MRCVS
Clinical Director
Sarah has worked at Haygate Veterinary Centre since 2006 and has a special interest in medicine, particularly feline medicine and cardiology. She holds the GP certificate in cardiology and is also trained in veterinary acupuncture. Sarah has two Springer Spaniels called Jade and Lucy who have aspirations of becoming agility champions. In her spare time Sarah enjoys hiking and mountain biking.


Martyna Kaluga MRCVS
Martyna graduated in Poland in February 2019. She has a special interest in surgery. In her spare time Martyna enjoys mountain biking, hiking and also indoor cycling on a turbo trainer.


Tamsin Learoyd-Hill BVetMed MRCVS
Tamsin has worked part-time for Haygate since 2008. Her main interest is medicine, particularly endocrinology, geriatric medicine and behaviour. At home she has a very naughty rescue dog called Pip.


Martyna Leoniewska DVM MRCVS
Martyna started at Haygate in 2017 and is especially interested in small animal internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. She has also spent some time working with animal welfare programmes in Thailand.


Caroline Marsden BVetMed MRCVS
Caroline qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009 and joined Haygate in November 2016. She works part-time, mainly at our Oakengates and Madeley branches. Caroline enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery and likes the variety of cases we see at Haygate. At home Caroline keeps busy by walking her Labrador, Tilly in the Shropshire hills, looking after her two cheeky children and catching up with friends.


Kasia Palkowska DVM MRCVS
Kasia graduated in 2013 and spent some time working in small animal practice in Cannock before joining the Haygate vet team in June 2016. Her main interests are feline medicine and soft tissue surgery, and she is also currently studying towards a certificate in surgery. In her spare time Kasia looks after her two cats, Klakier and Bandziorek.


Jonathan Parsons MA VetMB MRCVS
Jonny joined us in 2015 after qualifying from Cambridge. He is especially interested in in surgery, currently studying for a certificate in the subject, whilst also spending part of his working time at the local Dogs Trust Centre. Some say he bears an uncanny resemblance to Roger Federer.


Paulina Skiba DVM MRCVS
Paulina graduated in Poland in February 2019. After completing few months work experience at Haygate Veterinary Centres, she liked it so much that she decided to stay on permanently.
Paulina’s main interest lies in internal medicine. She also likes to travel and crochet in her free time.


Michelle Stidder BVetMed MRCVS
Michelle qualified in 2010 and works part-time at our Lawley site. Her particular interests are dermatology and small animal medicine.


Itziar Sanz DVM MRCVS
Itziar graduated in Spain in October 2020 and two months later moved to sunny Telford with her lovely cat Mika to work at Haygate in Wellington.
She particularly enjoys medicine and ultrasound but most of all is enjoying being a vet after all that study! Itziar loves listening to music, traveling and cooking tasty meals in her free time.
